Meet the Team

Dr. Lurie is a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy, School of Dentistry, and received her undergraduate degree of Bachelor of Arts with a major in Biological Sciences from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.

Hometown: Beltsy, Moldova, USSR.

First job I have ever had: Babysitter.

Why did you decide on a dental field? I think dentistry is an amazing field and I love what I do. Dentistry was not my first choice as a career. As a child, I was always terrified of dentists. As a teenager, I simply avoided going to dentists because of my fear and previous traumatizing experiences at the dentist. All changed when I moved to the United States and met Dr. Jeffrey Lipton in Bingham Farms, MI. He was very compassionate, caring and he opened my eyes to what dentists can do. As I did more research, I realized that dentistry was the right path for me. It’s challenging, rewarding and life-changing for a lot of people. I have an opportunity to help people and keep them healthy.

Hobbies and interest: I love reading, dancing and playing Candy Crush.

What is something people don't know about you? I was a ballroom dancer and participated in competitions in the teenage category.

What is your favorite food? Chocolate.

Hometown: Coventry, England.

First job I have ever had: Deli Clerk.

Why did you decide on a dental field? I didn't choose dentistry, it chose me. I was terrified of the dentist but because of that, I could empathize with the patient and help them through the process of regaining a healthy mouth and smile again.

Hobbies and interest: Singing - I am currently the children's choir director at my church. I love taking care of my family, our dog and love to knit.

What is something people don't know about you? I did Irish dancing until the age of 17 at my mom's dancing school in England.

What is your favorite food? Chocolate.

First job I have ever had: Cashier.

Why did you decide on a dental field? To help people gain their smiles back.

Hobbies and interest: I love taking my dog on long walks.

What is something people don't know about you? I am the middle child in my family.

What is your favorite food? Spanish Food.

Hometown: Passaic, NJ.

First job I have ever had: Babysitting at age 14 years old.

Why did you decide on a dental field? Have been in the field of Dentistry for 30 years now. Originally I wanted to become a Dentist and I figured Dental Assisting was a fantastic start, I ended up practicing and teaching at a local post-secondary school for Dental Assisting and Radiology.

Hobbies and interest: Business, charity work, riding motorcycles, skydiving, swimming and spending time with my family.

What is something people don't know about you? Lived in Germany for five years and worked for the U.S. Army as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant and had a great opportunity to travel throughout Europe. I'm also a Certified Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist.

What is your favorite food? Puerto Rican and Italian Food.

Hometown: Queens, NY.

First job I have ever had: Clerk at Arcade of America Clothing Store.

Why did you decide on a dental field? My parents were pressuring me to get a career, so I tested the waters of dentistry and I love it.

Hobbies and interest: Real Estate and Business.

What is something people don't know about you? Charity and Social work with Haitian Schools and Hospitals for children.

What is your favorite food? Haitian Food.

First job I have ever had: Sales Associate at Mall

Why did you decide on a dental field? A few of my cousins are Dentists and growing up in a dental environment  made me  follow dentistry and study dental hygiene.

Hobbies and interest: Traveling, Dancing and Shopping

What is something people don't know about you? I am a very social person and love learning about other people's cultures.
